Stafford Master Suite Remodel
The Staffords have lived in this house for three years and decided to make it more comfortable for them.  They knew what they wanted and they got it.  A great client-remodeler match was made as the client is a nurse and RSU is certified in Aging in Place remodeling.  The master suite is complete and the kitchen and media room are under way.  We can't wait to see the rest of the house next year!

After Photos:

The new master bathroom includes universal design elements like the barrier free shower enclosure and accessible tub.  The skylight was kept from the original space and adds some nice, natural light into the space.  Built-in cabinets next to each sink are a nice touch for the Staffords.

Another look at the master bathroom.  The toilet is a comfort-height model and the built-in magazine rack was requested by the homeowner after she saw it in a magazine.  RSU liked the idea and made it happen, plus it made a great hidden access panel for the pump and valves for the tub.

The bedroom used to be two separate rooms.  The 1/2 wall behind the bed used to be a full wall and cut the room in two, thus cutting out a lot of natural light from the space.  RSU took out the wall and added the load-bearing columns resulting in a much more functional, and well-lit bedroom/home office area.  Built in cabinets (to the left of the photographer) hold the couples many books and television.  The bright color on the walls also help the room look brighter than it did before the remodel.
