1695 Woodlake - Bath Remodel (Over $15,000)

Master baths were not very lavish in homes built over 25 years ago.  This is a perfect example.  This master bath is only 56 square feet and most of the space was taken by a bathtub.  Hinson Cabinets were hired to create a master bath with class, and that's just what they did.

A complete tear-out was done to the existing bathroom and Steve Hinson redesigned the whole space.  The owners opted for a steam shower instead of the tub, and Hinson exchanged the location of the sink and toilet.  This allowed the vanity with to double from 36" to six feet!

Products used are Micalline shower and walls.  The floor and counter tops are both Tavertine marble.

Judges Comment:  "The changes to this bath definitely improved the concept of the master bath without making the space larger.  The shower/steamer was a good idea to solve the lack of space for a large soaking tub.  The large mirror provides a good focal point and the cabinets look great.  Tile layed on the diagonal also improve the feel of the space - not quite as tight."
